When Apple releases Final Cut Pro full number updates, (10.x) they typically are full of new features. The exception being FCP 10.5 which took three years and had few features.

For the last ten years, the average time span between FCP full number updates averaged 19 months.

We are currently at 23 months since 10.6 was released in October 2021.
