My expectation level for the Summit
Last year my expectation level pre-Summit was low, based on the recent updates and activity for our beloved Final Cut Pro.
It was raised to mid level when they introduced FCP 10.7 with a scrolling timeline, a major requested feature that was number one on my top 100 list for Final Cut Pro.
This year my expectations are once again on the low side due to only a single feature update in 11 months. I pay attention to the walk, not the talk.
I would like the FCP Team to once again raise mine, and mainly everyone’s, expectations with a solid feature update with often requested missing NLE features and not just the Vision Pro editing which the majority of FCP editors won’t use and don’t care about. I am glad for those editors that want the Vision Pro editing though. It’s just not for me and doesn’t move me.
And the two features flashed in a drop down menu during th M4 Mac mini demo, hopefully that was just an appetizer and not the main couse consisting of FCP finger food.
Nuts and bolts features that everyday editors want, need and have been requesting for over ten years.
Expectation level - low but optimistic like last year. I prefer having my expectations raised rather than lowered.
We’ll see you soon, on a live stream or in person!
